XP back on my comp and already its annoyed me more than someone repeatidly slapping me with a spoon.

So yeah, i've been pretty ill over the last few days which is why i haven't been posting in this here journal. I am now happily on the mend tho so i'll be back to posting properly over the next couple of days :D

On a wednesday college for me finishes at 1:30pm and since the bus doesn't leave for another 3 hours after that to come home me and lauren generally have fuck all to do.. So yesterday we decided to take the long walk into Lancaster and have a look round the shops. we ended up buying Brody a little tunnel set for her cage and then had some lunch at subway. So anyway, we are walking back and we decide we are a little thirsty and so we stop in at ALDI that we are just passing.
As we are going round we got some food aswell... Now this is the scary part....
Are ALDI allowed to produce such good quality packaging ? i mean usually all the tins are battered to shit and the boxes are badly designed with little or no colour. But this is amazing, fully foil packed for freshness and only 50p. You'd pay like ?1.50 for that in ASDA or something. Usually mini cookies come in some sort of packet you'd find on a 10p packet of space raiders.
At the point of eating a got slightly worried..... packing this good must cost a fair bit.... maybe 30p or so... so that means tthat the cookies themselves cost less than 20p..... but after a little self persuasion i ate them. and they are gorgeous. By far the best mini cookies i've ever had.

Crumpets are possibly the single greatest invention in food ever. Immensley tasty, always filling, and very versatile the crumpet can be eaten however and whenever. With butter, with syrup or with jam or anything else you can possibley think of. Personally i like mine for breakfast with lashings of butter.
For those of you that have been kept in the dark about crumpets, i pity you. However i will help you. Below are a couple of pictures of what your average crumpet should look like.
And for those of you who can operate a pair of hands you might want this.....
Crumpets
Crumpet rings and a griddle or heavy baking tray are required for this recipe.
285ml half a pint) Lukewarm Milk
225g (8oz) Flour
10g (2 teaspoons full) Salt
10g (2 teaspoons full) Sugar
10g (2 teaspoons full) Yeast
Mash the yeast and sugar together in a small bowl, beat in 2 tablespoons of milk.
Leave in a warm place for 15 minutes or until frothy.
Sift the flour and salt into a warmed bowl, make a well in the centre.
Pour in the yeast and remaining milk.
Gradually draw in the flour, mixing until the batter has the consistency of thin cream, (add more milk if needed).
Cover with a cloth and leave in a warm place for 45 minutes, or until the batter has doubled in bulk.
Pour around 1 tablespoon of the batter into each ring, the batter should fill the ring to a depth of cm (? inch).
Cook for around 5 minutes or until bubbles appear the batter is slightly set and golden brown on the bottom.
Remove the rings, turn over and cook on the other side until golden.
Toast before eating.

I woke up nice an early for college as usual today, but missed the fcurking bus so have been up since 7am almost. Now i usually get up at 7am and go to bed after now, but usually i've been at college all day and my personal day doesn't really begin till 5:30pm when i get home, or if i'm not at college i usually sleep till after dinner time. So you can see why i've considered this to be a long day. If i look back over it tho, i didn't reall accomplish much to be honest. I spent some of the morning fiddling with my website and getting all the picture pages back up and then had some breakfast with lauren. Shortly after that she went home and i did fuck all for a couple of hours, i then went to see my dad so i could get some money to get some food as i have nothing much in at the moment. I also took the chance to pick up the two distillers albums i wanted. I had them both already but they were less than legal and since i love the band so much i thought i'd actually buy them.
towards the late afternoon i spent most of my time chatting to various people on the net, doing a little more work on my site and posting the 'first lady of rock' thread on this here livejournal. Then i decided to get a little exercise and went rollerblading. i ended up doing about 2 laps of kendals main center type area, so all in all about 8 miles. Then just after i got in Lauren called in to see me and she's been here ever since :D yay :D. She's so special to me, i don't know what i'd do if she left me. I think she thinks i'm bored of her or that i don't love her anymore but i really really do, i guess sometimes i just don't show her thats all. She's makes me very happy and i'm really lucky to have her cos she is amazing. (i love you lauren)
After she got here we talked for a while then i got some food and we sat down and watched X-Men which is still a cool film after its millionth viewing :D. We came upstairs and Lauren started playing Super Monkey Ball on which she is currently hooked. I noticed that my splinter cell demo had finished and so installed it and had a go, i think its pretty good... kinda like Metal Gear Solid but in a more 3d environment and with a little more interactivity. Anyway, Laurens in bed now and she's trying to get to sleep altho my musics on... i've kept it quiet, but loud enough so that she won't go to sleep till i get there :P
I'll go get into bed and then send her over here to read this.... so HELLO LAUREN! TURN THE COMPUTER OFF AND COME TO BED! ;)

And i ain't talking about that damn song thats annoyed the fuck out of the whole planet for the last 6 months. No this is far more serious. Something has occured to me and i feel it is my obligation to put my dilemma over in a livejournal post to basically just fill some time. So here you have it...
As you may or may not know, i am a fan of german band 'Guano Apes'. They have just released their third ablum 'Walking On A Thin Line'. Sadly its not available in England yet but that is not my dilemma. The problem i'm having is that there are, to me, 4 notable women in the world of rock music today, and we are talking good rock music, so sorry to Kelly Osbourne who just misses out. So anyway, i decided that i can't like all 4 equally cos you just can't do that, so who is the best ?! and that my friends is what we are going to discuss right now.....

For those of you who may be none the wiser after hearing those names let me give you a brief outline..
Brody Armstrong is the frontwoman for LA based punk banned 'The Distillers', Sandra Nasic is the lead singer of german rock band 'Guano Apes', Shirley Manson fronts the fantastic banned 'Garbage' and Courtney Love was the frontwoman for 'Hole' before they split up.
So i'm not really sure whats the best way to do this.... erm.... ahh here we go.. i'll divide them up into two two's, then battle each one against their partner and then i'll have two finalists.They can then battle to be the furrygopher.com first lady of rock. ok, so lets pair them up, we'll have Courtney vs. Brody and Shirley vs. Sandra.

compare her to Brody as she is more... commercially friendly i guess.

I put 'I'm With You' on by Avril Lavigne in the hope of writing another parody as i'm in the mood for making some jokes about her singing ability and the fact her nose is quite freaky. But, to be quite honest i can't really be arsed at this point in time. I would however like to take a moment to examine miss lavigne's nose in the hope of shedding some light on why exactly i have given it its freaky status. Lets look at the facts.
Now then, here her nose looks perfectly normal and she even manages to pull off 'cute' quite nicely. You may be thinking, 'Chris, theres nothing wrong with that nose at all, what the hell are you talking about'. So here i present to you exhibit B...
HOW POINTY IS THAT!! i can't remember the last time i saw anything so pointy to be quite honest. its just plaine daft.... hang on.... plain.... plane.... ahaaa thats where i've seen her nose before....

Having not worked part time at all since last september it seems a little wierd to have to get up early on a tuesday given that this is my only weekday off from college and usually sleep till 11/12. But low and behold at 9am i officially start my training at the main distribution warehouse for Lakeland Limited annoyingly situated as far from my house as you can possibly get from my house and still be classed as being in kendal.
I'm listening to 'All I Need' by Air at the moment cos to be quite honest its one of the greatest songs ever and i fucking love it. Add to that the fact the video for it is a genius piece of film making and you have all in all a nice little package. I'd also like to point out that this is one of the coolest pictures ever..
But its just two women stood next to each other i hear you cry... but thats where your wrong. Pictures of Brody Armstrong are usually very hard to come by on the internet for somer reason, plus the fact she's stood next to one of the best female voices in rock music ever. I'm personally a little pissed off that America *pfft* got to see The Distillers, Garbage and No Doubt all tour together at the end of last year. Why couldn't they continue that over here cos that would of been awesome. I mean i've seen both No Doubt and Garbage before but i loved both of them live, especially Garbage who i was lucky enough to see just after the realease of their amazing album 'Version 2.0' before they got a little worse and released 'Beautifulgarbage'
So i suppose, at *looks at watch* 7:32am, i should start getting ready for my first day of lakeland limited training where undoubtably i will sit in a room, read leaflets, and watch videos for 6 hours... but i guess i am looking forward to getting back to work after all this time and earning some god damn money. Laurens not to happy by the fact that the first thing i want to buy is an xbox as she sees it as a waste of money, but personally i see getting another tattoo as a waste so i guess she'll just have to live with it. :P Really i mainly want one so i can play Halo and Splinter Cell, even tho Splinter Cell has just had a pc conversion and i could just as easily play it on here i want to be able to play it from bed and shit like that. Call me lazy.Of course i am still looking into this and will maybe opt for a playstation 2, im majorly looking at the games that are gonna be playable really.. if you have any comments on such a decission please leave them below :D Wish me look at work...

Didn't go to college yesterday, wasn't feeling all that well thursday night plus i haven't been sleeping well and really needed to try and catch up on some. Add to that the fact i really couldn't be arsed and you have yourself a day off.
Gave myself a lie in and i felt much better for it. Went up to laurens and then we went into town to have a look round and also look at some hamster cages. Couldn't really see one in town that i liked so i think i am gonna buy one online from some pet shop. I was going to put the picture on here but the sites down at the moment :(. Anyway, after a peruzzing of cages lauren bought me dinner at subway where i induldged in a foot long meatball sub. YUM!.
Went back to my house, cuddled up and fell asleep for a bit. Then i made loz her tea, which was a bowl of pasta with tomato and onion sauce type stuff and then some grated cheese. After that we went up to her house cos i had to install their dsl and router so all three computers could get it.
An enjoyable day

Very dissapointing to be honest. Yet another example of too much hype spoiling it for me.
Eminem doesn't exactly play his part as an acting role, he's basically playing himself. Brittney Murphy is below par as the love interest and Kim Basinger manages to battle thru the bad dialog pretty well. On the whole i enjoyed it but that was purely down to the rap sequences towards the end. On many occasions its actually hard to hear the actors for the volume of the so called background music. The film also seems to leave a lot of things unclear, the issues with his mum are never really cleared up nor is the deal about whether the little girl in the film is his daughter or his sister.... that one may have been me not paying enough attention.. not sure.
The film eventually leads to an obvious ending, not to be confused with some of the scenes we saw in the music video. Its not the fairy tale some people thought it was going to be with him coming from the shitty detroit trailer park and then making it big within 2 hours of film. I won't tell you were the story ends but i will tell you not to expect the world from this film.
Its saving grace is the camera direction, its been well shot and some scenes manage to offer some great shots.

k... so i'm in the middle of tidying and i thought i'd stop to mention something.
I don't know if this is only me or this happens with everyone but when i tidy up i seem to put loads of stuff in the bin and put loads of stuff away and it doesn't seem to get any tidier at all and then all of a sudden you put one thing in the bin or away and its god damn totally clean. Strange, a mystery if you will. Someone please do some research and try and figure out why this is cos it annyos me.

Now got nothing to do, would start my assignment for college but i'm gonna do that tomorrow night as right now i am really not in the mood and just wanna sleep to be honest. Fingers crossed laurens coming round tonight, altho she might be going down to preston to a club called 'Aqualenium'. So i think i'll have a tidy up now so its nice and tidy for if she comes round, if not i can work in a nice clean room i guess.
